The Big Ten football picture is coming together. The Big Ten West division winner has been crowned and we have a clear front-runner in the Big Ten East.

Week 11 games did not affect this week’s Big Ten power rankings too much. There were no upsets as we had seen in previous weeks, so the rankings held fairly steady.

If there was one surprise this week, it was in Columbus. Most had the Buckeyes winning, but the manner in which they beat Michigan State was surprising. Ohio State thoroughly dominated from start to finish. The Spartans did not show up to play and may want to forget the game ever took place.

Elsewhere in the conference, Wisconsin dominated Iowa and locked up the Big Ten West officially. This will be the Badgers fifth appearance in the championship game’s seven years. Quite impressive feat for Wisconsin. Also Penn State got back on the winning track with a win over Rutgers and Northwestern kept rolling, zeroing in on a nine win season.

The bottom of the conference continues to be abysmal. Those teams probably cannot wait until the season ends and look forward to the 2018 season. With how bad the lower part of the conference is, there is a good chance the Big Ten does not have enough eligible teams to fill its entire bowl slate. We will see in a couple of weeks. For now here are the latest power rankings.
