There was a strong consensus on the six teams the College Football Playoff committee ranked in the Top-6 spots Tuesday night, but who got snubbed?

There wasn’t much of an argument about who belonged in this week’s top six spots. However, serious discussion comes about regarding the actual placing of those six – along with several outside of it.

The obvious No. 1 was Alabama, as the Crimson Tide survived a scare by Mississippi State to remain unbeaten on the same day that then-No. 1 Georgia was blasted by Auburn. Following Alabama in the latest rankings is defending national champion Clemson, with Oklahoma and Miami rounding out what would be the semifinals if the season ended today.

Just outside the Top-4 are Wisconsin, the unbeaten leader in the Big Ten, and Auburn, which plays Alabama next week in the Iron Bowl for a spot in the SEC Championship opposite Georgia.

So, did the committee get it right? Are those the four best teams in the country right now? Here are four teams who were snubbed in the Week 11 College Football Playoff rankings.

Unbeaten and coming off a complete thrashing of Notre Dame, Miami deserves to sit one spot higher right now ahead of ACC rival Clemson. The good thing for the Hurricanes is that they still have a date with the Tigers already set for December with the league title on the line.

Miami and head coach Mark Richt have proven many pundits wrong this year, taking care of business with the old swagger of “The U.”

From the “Turnover Chain” to big-time offensive plays, the Hurricanes look like a formidable foe to become national champions once again.
