While it wasn’t a conference win, Texas A&M football got back on track and gained bowl eligibility with a dominating win over New Mexico.

Following back to back division losses at home, Texas A&M needed a dominating win over a lesser opponent to get them back on track before they hit the road the next two weeks. On Senior Night at Kyle Field, they got just that. Want a taste of the Kyle Field atmosphere on Saturday night? The stadium was loud, rocking and ready to win. Listen to the 2017 Senior Class talk about their experiences as Aggies and their highlights.

And win they did with a 55-14 finish over the Lobos of New Mexico. Had quarterback Nick Starkel and the starters finished the game, the score may have been even higher, but everyone saw field for Kevin Sumlin and the Aggies Saturday night.

Texas A&M has two tall tasks ahead of them as they face Ole Miss and LSU on the road to finish out the 2017 season. They are in the midst of what could be another November collapse and the only way to fix that is to win in Oxford and Baton Rouge.

However, before we jump ahead to the next few weeks, let’s talk about this past one. Here are my five “overreactions” to the Aggies big time win over the Lobos.
