College Football Bowl Games 2017: Week 12 projections
By Zach Bigalke
As the 2017 regular season winds down, where will everyone will land in bowl games this year? Here are our bowl projections entering Week 12.
For teams throughout the FBS, there are only two or three games left on the regular season schedule. Currently, there are 60 teams that have officially qualified for bowl games. That leaves 10 full bowl games worth of slots waiting to have enough teams to fill them.
Who might fill those other spots? There are currently 21 other teams that are sitting on five wins and that need just one more victory to reach the postseason. And it isn’t like the NCAA is going to cancel bowl games. As we have seen in recent years, 5-7 teams still have a shot of reaching bowl games as well.
That makes for some intriguing races throughout the country over the final two weeks of November play. Some teams are merely trying to become bowl eligible and get into whatever contest they can possibly land. Others are jockeying for position, hoping to land a spot in the College Football Playoff or one of the lucrative New Year’s Six bowls.
Where will everyone land this season once the postseason starts? Keep reading for our projections for all 40 bowl games, from the postseason kickoff games on December 16 to the College Football Semifinal Playoffs on New Year’s Day.
