2. Texas A&M heads down to Oxford to take on Ole Miss

The Aggie in me doesn’t want to admit that we could lose in Oxford on Saturday. However, after watching collapse after collapse, nothing surprises me anymore. With the loss of quarterback Shea Patterson, many thought that the Rebels were done for. Enter JUCO transfer Jordan Ta’amu. He has picked up right where Patterson and Ole Miss, at least offensively, haven’t missed a beat.

In four games, three as a starter, Ta’amu has amassed 1,246 passing yards and 149 rushing yards. He has seven passing touchdowns and four rushing. Simply put, he has stepped up in a big way for the Rebels and hasn’t looked back. Check out his highlights from last weeks win over ULL.

On the opposite side, the Aggies are putting themselves back together with quarterback Nick Starkel under center. His passing attack has truly opened up the Aggie offense in a way that wasn’t seen with Kellen Mond. The difference between Ole Miss and Texas A&M? The Aggies have a strong, reliable defense.

If that defense shuts down Jordan Ta’amu and company, the Aggies leave Oxford with a November win. However, if they fail to do so, it could be a long day for the Maroon and White.
