Notre Dame football will get a chance to bounce back and get a win over Navy in Week 12. Here are three bold predictions for the big game.

Notre Dame football took a substantial hit to its playoff hopes after a Week 11 loss to Miami, but a strong showing against Navy should keep the Irish in the hunt at No. 8 in the nation.

Needless to say, Irish fans will head into this week much less optimistic than the last, but there ‘s still reason to keep track of the team heading into the home stretch. Should Notre Dame win against both Navy and Stanford, they will be in a prime spot for a prestigious bowl game, if not for the playoff itself.

Head coach Brian Kelly’s teams have had a history of giving up on him after losing big games in the past, making it imperative that he finds a way to break the mold with such significant implications on the rise. The Irish lost a few commitments after last last year’s debacle of a season, but a solid bowl game would serve Kelly well in earning some of those back.

While Navy won’t be the strongest team the Irish will have faced this year, it’s important to note that Notre Dame hasn’t been the team we’ve grown used to over the last few weeks. Among other things, one issue has been the defense’s inability to get off the field. Nevertheless, here are three things to monitor as the Irish face off against the rival Midshipmen.
