Oklahoma football is back in the top four and headed to Lawrence, Kan., looking for another win. Here is our preview of the matchup.

Baker Mayfield and company have been on quite the roll since their loss to Iowa State a few weeks ago. They currently sit at 9-1 on the season and atop the Big 12 with no signs of stopping any time soon. The only teams that stand between them and the end of the season are Kansas (1-9) and West Virginia (7-3).

Starting quarterback and Heisman hopeful Baker Mayfield says that his team is ready for any challenge that “#ChampionshipNovember” can throw at them. Listen to a piece of his weekly interview below.

As it stands, it seems that the Sooners control their own destiny this month as a team gunning for a spot in the Playoff. As a result of the huge mismatch this game provides, if you are a diehard Sooner fan or just enjoy Kansas losing, this game could be a great one for you. Here is how you can watch the match up.

Date: Saturday, Nov. 18
Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Location: Lawrence, Kan.
Venue: Memorial Stadium
TV: ESPN
Live Stream: WatchESPN

Keys to Victory

For Kansas, victory seems extremely far-fetched and foreign. Especially against an offense as high-powered as Oklahoma’s, the Jayhawks would be better off focusing on basketball season. The Sooners average over double what Kansas does in points per game, so to have any chance of victory they will have to shut down Baker Mayfield and the entirety of his offense in addition to getting theirs going better than it has all season. Impossible? No. Improbable? Yes.

For Oklahoma, it will be simply be more of the same. They will have to stick to the game plan and not get overly cocky heading into Lawrence. They are more than likely going to win this game, but being overconfident has killed teams before and Oklahoma is no exception. The Sooners need a clean game on both sides of the ball to give them the win this week and to prepare them for the rest of the season and post season.

Prediction

This will be an easy win for the Sooners. Baker Mayfield will have a field day in Lawrence, thoroughly embarrassing the Kansas defense in the process. Look for at least 550 yards of offense for the Sooners and that’s on the low end. The Oklahoma defense will make life difficult for junior quarterback Peyton Bender, who has already been sacked 14 times this season.

Kansas fans will be pouring out of the stadium before half time, looking up the highlights to their basketball team’s win over Kentucky earlier in the week. Football season can’t be over soon enough for these Jayhawk fans.

Final Score: Oklahoma 52, Kansas 3
