3. Penn State will shut out the Huskers offense

Penn State comes into this game with one of the toughest defenses in the country. The Nittany Lions are ranked 18th in the nation in total defense, per ESPN stats. On top of that, the Huskers will be without their signal-caller and leader in quarterback Tanner Lee due to him being in concussion protocol. Patrick O’Brien is getting the call for the first time this season and the redshirt freshman couldn’t have asked for a tougher defense to make first start against.

Not to mention, the game will be played at Beaver Stadium, the home of the Nittany Lions and one of the rowdiest crowds in all of college football. The odds are stacking up against the Huskers and the offensive play has been poor for the team thus far in the season. While Penn State is still trying to make their case to the playoff committee, they are not going to let go of the throttle in this game.

While it may not be the strongest statement, Penn State’s defense is going to obliterate the opposing offense in this matchup. The Nittany Lions are going to limit Nebraska’s passing game to fewer than 100 yards and the offense to less than 200 total yards. The Huskers won’t score a touchdown — a field goal — or even a safety and will end the game with a big ol’ goose egg on the scoreboard. This game has the making for records to be set, and records that Husker fans will hope to soon forget.
