1. Georgia is resilient

One thing I was curious to see in Week 12 was how Georgia would bounce back against a 7-3 Kentucky team after getting throttled by Auburn the previous week. Sure, there was a lot to play for still, including a the playoff, but the Bulldogs may have found it difficult to get up for an SEC contest against Kentucky when they’ve already locked up the division.

The Bulldogs came out strong and didn’t let up, securing the win in Athens to improve to 10-1 on the year with a rivalry game against Georgia Tech to close the season.

Spirits may have been crushed last week with a 23-point loss on the road, but Georgia bounced back and that’s impressive for a team that was just knocked from its No. 1 overall ranking.

Georgia may have impressed the committee by the way it bounced back from an ugly loss, but there’s still plenty of work to do. If the Bulldogs can show this same resiliency against the Yellow Jackets and carry it over to a win in the SEC title game, the playoff will be waiting for them.
