Lee Corso made his College GameDay headgear selection this morning. Did he take No. 24 Michigan or the fifth-ranked Wisconsin Badgers?

2017 has been a season of streaks for Lee Corso and his headgear picks. He opened the season with two correct picks on opening weekend before losing the next two weeks. He then rattled off five-straight. However, Corso arrives in Madison sputtering after picking against Oklahoma and Miami in successive weeks. That makes him 7-4 on the season. Can Corso turn it around and go on one more winning streak to end the year strong?

No. 5 Wisconsin (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten)  and No. 24 Michigan (8-2, 5-2) have had mixed results when on the College GameDay stage. The Badgers have been showcased 15 times before Saturday and have posted a 5-10 record in those games. They are 3-3 in games in Madison. That includes the last time Rece Davis and the gang were in town last year. Ohio State won 30-23 in overtime.

This is Michigan’s 28th time being featured on GameDay. They are 15-12 thus far. They are coming off a loss in their last appearance at Penn State in Week 8, 42-13. College GameDay has been a jinx for Jim Harbaugh. He is 0-4 in those games.

Corso is an identical 2-1 when picking the Bucky Badger head at home and 2-1 when picking his opponent.

The Badgers are down to 6.5-point favorites. The game opened at a 10-point spread, but it has been bet consistently down to under a touchdown with money coming in on Michigan on the road.

Let’s go to the pick:

That is the Lee Corso we know and love. I’m a sucker for the roar of the crowd when Corso throws on the hometown mascot head way more than I am the boos and trolling when he picks the visiting team. He shockingly didn’t pick one of the best mascots and gimmicks last week with Sebastian the Ibis and the turnover chain. He couldn’t turn down another iconic mascot head with Bucky Badger. Plus, the Badgers are the safer pick, so that doesn’t hurt.

We are going to find out if Corso picked the right headgear more quickly than normal. The Badgers and Wolverines kicked off just minutes after he put on the Bucky Badger head. Will the 11 a.m. local start time throw off the Corso headgear math/magic?
