For the 88th straight year, USC and UCLA are set for a cross town rivalry. One is highly ranked and the other is struggling, but this will still be a fight to the finish.

When one thinks of rivalries in college football, one of the most well known is UCLA and USC. These two have quite the storied past and it is promised that Saturday will be no different as one looks to move into the top 10 and the other looks for bowl eligibility.

Here are my three bold predictions for this week’s crosstown fight.

3. A quarterback duel for the ages

USC quarterback Sam Darnold and UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen are both products of local Los Angeles high schools. Both were part of the 2015 signing classes and have been talked about as potential first round talents. That talk will come to fruition as the two face off on the field looking for bragging rights heading into likely their last time playing in this rivalry match up.

Darnold has been talked about as a Heisman contender. He, as shown below, has a cannon for an arm and has lead his team to a 9-2 record so far this season.

On the other side, Josh Rosen orchestrated one of the biggest comebacks in NCAA history against Texas A&M to open the season. Records, past performances and numbers aside, this will likely be a dog fight for the ages between Rosen and Darnold. However, I see Darnold coming out on top.
