NFL Mock Draft 2018: Complete first round after Week 12
The New York Giants have issues bigger than just quarterback right now. Even though Eli Manning is aging and not the answer for the Giants anymore, the coaching situation with Ben McAdoo is a mess as well.
Picking up a fresh face at quarterback like UCLA’s Josh Rosen to be the new face of the franchise for the Giants could immediately revitalize the offense. Rosen has kept the Bruins in games all year, despite a bad team around him.
If the Giants can improve the overall roster and do well in the later rounds in the draft, quarterback is the top priority and it does not get better than Rosen. Going with Darnold would not be the worst move either, but Rosen does have the more consistent arm.
Building the Giants back up starts with a quarterback. Just look at the model of success that the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles set with young stars like Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz. Rosen is the obvious choice here.
