3. Michigan is held under 200 total yards

The Michigan Wolverines will play great defense, but their offense will be so bad without Brandon Peters that they’ll be held under 200 total yards. The Wisconsin Badgers almost held Michigan under that number, and that’s with over a half of Peters at quarterback. If he’s held out as you would expect, as he was unconscious for a few minutes, Michigan’s offense is left to John O’Korn and possibly a true freshman backup in Dylan McCaffrey.

The Buckeyes’ defense is ranked 12th by the S&P+ while the Badgers boast the top rated defense in the nation per Bill C. However, with the rivalry hype and without Peters, I can see the Buckeyes squashing the Wolverines even on the Wolves home turf. Ohio State has won the last five meetings and Jim Harbaugh got to feel what Urban Meyer’s offenses are capable of in 2015 losing 42-13 to Ohio State.

Michigan has failed to create an offensive identity after losing its tailback, tight end and three starting offensive linemen to graduation or the NFL Draft. Karan Higdon and Chris Evans didn’t break 3.0 yards per carry against the Badgers defense and there’s no Jabrill Peppers to bail out a struggling offense this year.
