Baylor Football: Preview, prediction, live stream vs. TCU in Week 13
Baylor football plays TCU in Week 13 and will be looking to close out the 2017 season on a high note. Here’s everything you need to know.
The season hasn’t turned out as expected for the Baylor Bears. A rough year was expected given all of the off-field issues, but one win over Kansas is a much lower floor than anyone ever imagined. It’s going to take a nothing short of a perfect game for Baylor to upset TCU.
TCU has locked up a trip to the Big 12 Championship game. Their 9-2 record is excellent, but it’s unlikely that even winning out would be enough for them to leapfrog the log-jam of teams between them and the College Football Playoff. A New Year’s Six game is still in play, and that’s what the Horned Frogs will be focused on against the Bears.
Here’s how you can watch Friday’s game between Baylor and TCU:
Date: Friday, Nov. 24
Time: 12:00 p.m. ET
Location: Fort Worth, Tx
Venue: Amon G. Carter Stadium
TV: FS1
Live Stream: FOX Sports Go
Keys to Victory
Baylor has found their quarterback of the future in freshman Charlie Brewer. In his last three stats he’s thrown for 310 yards per game, seven touchdowns and two interceptions. Baylor has played from behind so often that Brewer has had to get used to airing it out. The TCU secondary is above average, but they’ve been prone to the big play. Brewer needs to hit three or four of them to keep the Bears in this game.
TCU must commit to running the football against Baylor. Starting quarterback Kenny Hill and backup quarterback Shawn Robinson are both questionable to play on Friday. With starting tailback Darius Anderson out for the season, that leaves senior Kyle Hicks to carry the load on the ground. Baylor is dead last in the conference in run defense, meaning even the faintest effort will position TCU for offensive success, regardless of who’s playing quarterback.

Prediction
Baylor is not as bad as their record indicates. Matt Rhule’s staff has done a good job improving this team and getting them prepared to play. TCU is going to have some issues on offense, as expected, but ultimately Gary Patterson‘s team should walk away from this one with the victory, albeit a close one.
Final Score: Baylor 27, TCU 34
