Georgia Football: Preview, prediction, live stream vs. Georgia Tech in Week 13
By Dana Becker
Georgia football still has national championship hopes. To hang on to those, it will have to get past rival Georgia Tech in the “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate” game.
The Bulldogs (10-1) are ranked seventh in the latest College Football Playoff. But, having already clinched a berth in the SEC Championship game next weekend, Georgia has the chance to claim a keynote victory either against top-ranked Alabama or No. 6 Auburn. The Tigers knocked the Bulldogs from the No. 1 spot earlier this year.
Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart are seeking an 11th victory, which has happened only twice previously at the school.
If playing an in-state rival isn’t enough of a reason to get Georgia Tech (5-5) excited, Paul Johnson’s group needs a win to secure bowl eligibility.
This will be the 112th time the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets have faced off.
Here’s how to watch Georgia at Georgia Tech this Saturday:
Date: Saturday, Nov. 25
Time: 12 p.m. ET
Location: Atlanta, Ga.
Venue: Bobby Dodd Stadium
TV: ABC
Live Stream: WatchESPN
Keys to Victory
Which team can get the running game going first? Georgia presents future NFL backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, with Georgia Tech bringing its patented triple-option attack to the contest.
Chubb has racked up 1,045 yards on the ground, with Michel adding 818. Last year, it was Michel leading the way vs. the Yellow Jackets, recording 170 yards to 88 by Chubb.
Georgia’s offensive line is a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, which goes to the top line unit in the nation. They helped clear the way for almost 400 yards last week vs. Kentucky.
Georgia Tech and quarterback Taquon Marshall average 319 yards on the ground, with Marshall having gone over the 1,000-yard mark this season.
The Bulldog defense is surrendering just 106 yards per game rushing an 14.4 points, compared to 144 and 25 by the Yellow Jackets.

Prediction
Chubb and Michel might be kept in-check early on, but the two are so physical and strong that by the time the game reaches the second quarter, they have put a hurt on the opposing defense. Look for Georgia to try and work quarterback Jake Fromm into the action early before turning things over to Chubb and Michel to close it out.
Prediction: Georgia 31, Georgia Tech 13
