1. Both sides are way too stubborn to bring the rivalry back

If you look up stubborn in the dictionary, you will likely see pictures of the staff of the Aggie and Longhorn athletic departments. Year in and year out, there seems to be some way these two teams could play, but one side of the other shuts the idea down pretty quickly. It is like clockwork. This year it is the Texas Bowl that is in talks of rekindling the rivalry. Texas’ response? No.

These teams are stubborn. While fans want to play and players want to play, the admin staff has no interest in it. That will likely not change in the coming years and as a result, I don’t see this game happening whether it be in a bowl game or a regular season match up. The Aggies don’t need the Longhorns and both sides are too stubborn to play anyway.
