UCLA football 5-6 (3-5 Pac-12) made the somewhat surprising decision to part ways with head coach Jim Mora Jr. following last week’s loss to USC. They didn’t waste any time before jumping right into the middle of the Chip Kelly sweepstakes. Kelly seems like he’d be a great fit in LA, but if he does elect to take the Florida job there are plenty of other options for the Bruins to choose from.

Before the Bruins get too far down that road, however, they have one more game to play in the 2017 regular season. A win would give them a potential trip to a bowl game, depending of course on whether or not they have a new coach and would like to accept an invitation at all. That won’t matter if they lose to Cal.

Cal 5-6 (2-6 Pac-12) has a potential bowl berth on the line as well. They have the good fortune of hosting the game against UCLA. The oddsmakers peg the Bruins as seven point favorites. That’s a decent margin, but this game figures to be one that could come down to the final possession.
