Ohio State Football: J.T. Barrett’s injury being called “malicious”
By Dana Becker
The rivalry between Ohio State football and Michigan dates back years and has always been more than just a game.
Saturday’s edition, though, has likely earned a spot in the history books for an injury suffered off the field, according to Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer.
J.T. Barrett left the game in the third quarter after exiting the field following a run. He was limping noticeably, but Meyer now says the injury actually happened prior to the start of the contest.
Meyer was also quoted during his post-game press conference as saying “Too many damn people on the sideline. I’m so angry right now.” He added that there is an “all-out investigation” into the incident.
Barrett was just 3 of 8 passing for 30 yards and a score, running for 67 yards and a touchdown before departing for Dwayne Haskins. Haskins finished 6 of 7 for 94 yards and added 24 yards on the ground.
Ohio State won the game, 31-20, scoring 17 points in the second half to defeat the Wolverines for the sixth consecutive time. Michigan is just 1-13 vs. Ohio State in the last 14 meetings, and Jim Harbaugh has yet to defeat OSU since his arrival in Ann Arbor.
Barrett became the first Buckeye to start and win four games vs. Michigan.

Ohio State will try to capture the Big Ten Championship next Saturday when they take on Wisconsin. The winner could earn a spot in the College Football Playoff. Urban Meyer will have his guys ready to play as we remember what happened last time Ohio State and Wisconsin met in the conference title game.
