2. Defense finally got back on track

After a number of ugly defensive showings, Penn State finally got back on track against a reeling Maryland offense. It looked to be dominant yet again after struggling against teams like Nebraska, Michigan State and Ohio State.

It was arguably the best performance on the defensive side of the ball since blowing Michigan out. With all the playmakers the Nittany Lions have on this side of the ball, the struggles were a little puzzling.

While the Nittany Lions didn’t force a single turnover, holding the Terrapins to just three points and just over 300 yards. They looked dominant, for the most, part, on the defensive side of the ball after having one of the worst scoring defenses in the country for a few weeks.

Will the Nittany Lions be able to keep this up in whatever bowl game they make? They’ll presumably make a New Year’s Six bowl.
