UCF beat USF in a wild rivalry game on Friday. While that game was going on there were conversations happening behind closed doors somewhere else.
According to reports, Frost has a deal in place to return to his former school and try to lead them out of the abyss.
I've heard from a source that I trust that Scott Frost to Nebraska is a done deal.

Frost became the first coach in NCAA history to take a team from winless to unbeaten in two seasons when Central Florida capped off a thrilling win over South Florida on Friday. At the same time in Lincoln, Riley and the Huskers were being waxed by Iowa in a Big Ten contest. Thousands of Husker faithful started exiting the contest in the third quarter after the Hawkeyes scored 28 unanswered to break a 14-14 tie at the half.
Back in 1995, Frost transferred to Nebraska after a two-year run in Stanford. He directed the option attack for the Huskers to a national title, going 24-2 over two seasons. He became only the 10th player in college football history to run and pass for over a 1,000 yards his senior season, which included a 42-17 victory over Peyton Manning and Tennessee in the Orange Bowl.
Frost played in the NFL for a number of years with the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before embarking on his coaching career.
Frost has yet to confirm or deny reports
During his post-game press conference, Frost told reporters that he plans to be with his family this weekend despite a report saying his representatives were meeting with Florida about that coaching vacancy.
“I’m my representative and I’m gonna be with my wife and baby this weekend.”

Frost has coached at Nebraska, Kansas State, Northern Iowa and Oregon, including a season spent as the offensive coordinator with the Ducks where he was a finalist for the Broyles Award. UCF hired Frost in 2015 following a winless season.
