The Iowa State Cyclones finished the season slower than they started. But, there’s no doubting the pedigree of which former Toledo Rockets and current Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell was able to accomplish with the Clones this year.

Iowa State is looking for its eighth win of the season in Week 13, when the Clones travel to Manhattan to face head coach Bill Snyder and the Kansas State Wildcats. But, Kansas State is hot after upsetting the Oklahoma State Cowboys last week.

The fact that Iowa State even has the chance to reach the nine-win mark this year is directly attributed to the efforts of Campbell. Him and UCF head coach Scott Frost were some of the hottest names on the coaching market among current head coaches in the country.

Yet, with Frost signing with the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Nov. 25, Campbell is one of the best candidates left on the market. Texas A&M is sure to make a good run for Campbell, and landing him would be a home run for the Aggies.
