ACC Football Power Rankings 2017: Clemson takes over top spot

The regular season is complete and Clemson football finds their name right back atop the ACC football power rankings.
The Tigers had no trouble with in-state rival South Carolina this past Saturday night, avoiding the upset bug that hit Miami. The Hurricanes were knocked from No. 1 in the league and the ranks of the undefeated by Pittsburgh the day after Thanksgiving.
While the loss by Miami likely will keep the ACC from securing two bids to the College Football Playoff, for the division winners the goal still remains obtainable: win this Saturday, become conference champions and a spot in the final four is there for the taking.
The Hurricanes dropped from No. 1 to No. 2 because, as mentioned, they are division winners and headed to the ACC title game. The other big movers from the week were Louisville, which climbed from eighth to sixth and Pittsburgh, which vaulted into 10th after sitting second-to-last in the previous edition.
