DE. Ohio State. Sam Hubbard. 26. player. 51.

The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this year, but that doesn’t mean they are void of needs. They don’t have many, though, as the defense has been strong and the offense has been effectively behind budding star Jared Goff at quarterback and Todd Gurley in the backfield.

The offense doesn’t have many needs, outside of maybe some line help, but the defense could use some depth at cornerback and linebacker. However, adding an edge rusher like Sam Hubbard at this point in the draft can’t hurt. This is more of a best available pick rather than a need.

Los Angeles already has Aaron Donald and he’s arguably the top defensive lineman in the NFL. Imagine Hubbard on that line with him.

Ohio State’s star defensive end hasn’t even had his best season yet he’s making an impact with over 10 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He surpassed his sack total from a season ago and he’s still growing as a player. While he’s not at the level Joey Boss was, he still has a ton of potential as a pass rusher.
