While Texas A&M football hung in for a while, it wasn’t enough. The Aggies fell to LSU, again, this time to end Kevin Sumlin’s tenure with the program.

Texas A&M once again fell to LSU, this time 45-21 in a game full of Aggie turnovers. It was less than stellar for the Aggies and signaled the end of Kevin Sumlin’s career in Aggieland. Is that for the better for Texas A&M? That remains to be seen. However, what we do know is that Texas A&M fans are sitting, twiddling their thumbs waiting for the announcement of their next head coach.

Outside of all that, here are my five overreactions from the Aggies loss to the LSU.

5. This is not even a rivalry at this point

The Aggies and the Tigers face off for rivalry weekend year in and year out since Texas A&M joined the SEC. However, the Aggies have yet to win since the rivalry started in 2012. Is that even a rivalry? If the Aggies can’t win, does it count for anything? In my opinion, no it really doesn’t.

Hopefully the new head coach will make a change and the Aggies will make it to the end of the season, but right now this game isn’t much of anything in terms of rivalry weekend. In a week full of upsets and shockers, the Aggies did exactly what was expected, lost.
