Ohio State and Wisconsin end the regular season with wins and are heading to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Football Championship.
The Big Ten regular season came to a close Saturday. The divisions were decided before the final week, but there were still meaningful games to be played during rivalry week.
East division champion Ohio State survived an early Michigan burst to beat their rivals up north for the sixth straight year. In the west, Wisconsin dominated an over matched Minnesota team. No matter how long the winning streaks are in those series, it always feels good to beat your biggest rival.
Elsewhere the bottom of the conference is just terrible. Those teams are probably happy the season is over and they can look forward to 2018. Also the Big Ten only has eight bowl eligible teams, so they will have some unfilled bowl slots this year. There are more bowl eligible teams this year than there are spots available, so no 5-7 teams will be invited.
The final power rankings of the regular season do not change much from the last few weeks. Nevertheless, we will still rank them out and give some parting words on all the teams and their seasons.
