Texas A&M Football: 5 reasons Jimbo Fisher isn’t coming to College Station
1. Fisher has built something great in Tallahassee
Outside of the 2017 season, Jimbo Fisher has known nothing but success in Tallahassee after building the Seminoles up. He didn’t exactly inherit a bare cupboard, but he has still brought the program to national relevancy after having just one 10-win seasons under Bobby Bowden in the nine previous seasons.
Leaving for Texas A&M would throw all that hard work out the window and force him to start over at a program which hasn’t won a national title since the 1930s and is without a conference championship since being part of the Big 12 — the last conference title was 1998.
Is Fisher prepared for somewhat of a rebuild in College Station after building something great in Tallahassee that will likely take the offseason to fix after a subpar 6-6 (most likely) season? It doesn’t seem like the logical choice, even if he is one of the better coaches in college football and a rebuild with Texas A&M wouldn’t take too long.

Let’s face it, Fisher has turned down other offers before, is from the East Coast, has an already-elite program and facilities at his disposal and he won a title with the Seminoles not too long ago. It’d be a shock to see him leave Tallahassee for College Station, or any other job.
