I know it’s just Duke where they don’t put football first, but one 10-win season in 2013 should not be the ceiling at the program, even if you are a legend in the game. If Duke wants to actually take football somewhat serious, Cutcliffe needs to be more consistent.

For example: South Carolina and the former legendary head coach Steve Spurrier. He was losing his grip of the team and the message was stale. The same is happening in Durham with Coach Cutcliffe.

No one at Duke will forget what Cutcliffe did for them but at some point and time you have to try something different. His record at Duke is 58-67, his conference record is 28-52 and his bowl record is 1-3. This is the perfect time to take off and get better than bitter rival North Carolina.

Placing him at AD could help Duke grow as a football school. I think Coach K has basketball covered.
