With the college football regular season at a close it’s now time for the coaching carousel. Take a look at the two winners and two losers from Week 14 of the coaching carousel.

The coaching carousel usually starts at some point towards the latter half of the season. An athletic department decides that it’s time to cut ties early and let the world of college football know they’re in the market.

The Oregon State Beavers and the Florida Gators decided to jump on that wagon early this season. Other programs are doing a weird sense of stalling or finally cut ties later even though the writing was on the wall; think: Texas A&M. A lot of that posturing comes from the contract language regarding buyouts. Some coaches have Dec. 1 written in as a date where the buyout drops significantly.

Programs still on the market include some national powers like Tennessee, Nebraska, and Texas A&M. Then there’s the next tier like Arizona State, Mississippi State, Oregon State, and Arkansas. Florida filled its opening with Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen.

Meanwhile, rumors are flying around about Jimbo Fisher to Texas A&M, Willie Taggart to Florida State, and Scott Frost is all but a lock to fill the Nebraska job — but he’s not done vying for playoff contention with the Central Florida Knights.

Here are my two winners and two losers of the Week 14 college football coaching carousel.
