According to reports, it looks like Texas A&M may be getting its new head coach earlier than expected as a private jet is leaving Tallahassee.
When rumors of Jimbo Fisher taking the job with Texas A&M surfaced, there was plenty of hesitation from fans of both the Aggies and Florida State Seminoles to believe them. Fisher was just four years removed from a national title and had plenty of talent in Tallahassee.
Although he’s in the midst of the worst season since he took over for Bobby Bowden, Fisher seemed to be turning things around as Florida State went from 3-6 to now sitting one win away from bowl eligibility.
However, the rumors have picked up recently, especially since Kevin Sumlin’s firing and it looks to be all but a done deal in College Station. The Aggies are expected to soon name Fisher as the head coach and the rumors have caught even more fire on Thursday night as it seems as if a private jet is leaving Tallahassee for College Station on Friday, per reports.
Will we hear about Fisher as the Aggies’ new head coach in the morning or will we have to wait until after the weekend? Either way, this is one of the wildest coaching searches in recent memory.
