2. Remaining talent

Kevin Sumlin has left Jimbo Fisher with a handful of great players, should he take the job. He should only lose four starters, including junior wide receiver Christian Kirk. Fisher would be given the task of raising the play of Kellen Mond or Nick Starkel. This task should be right up the former Samford (back in 1987) quarterback’s alley.

Two keys to the development of those quarterbacks will be how the Aggies rush the ball and protect the quarterback. The Aggies look to return the whole offensive line and return sophomore running back Trayveon Williams.

The defense will return less starters. They will lose Armani Watts, Willis Priest and three defensive linemen. Now, defense has never been Fisher calling card but he usually has a good defense because he picks a great coordinator. Fisher and his defensive coordinator will have a very experienced linebacking corps to play with, though.
