The Jimbo Fisher drama is over in Tallahassee. Now, it’s time Florida State football calls Twitter’s favorite college football coach, Lane Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin has had a crazy last two seasons in college football. From coaching an undefeated team all the way to a national championship as an offensive coordinator to coaching Florida Atlantic. Kiffin bumped heads with Nick Saban and left before the Tide lost to the Clemson Tigers in the national title game.

Kiffin and his Florida Atlantic Owls are playing in their first Conference USA title game on Saturday. After Kiffin coaches the Owls in their title game, Florida State should target him as the 10th head coach in its program’s history.

Here are three reasons why Lane Kiffin should be the next head for the Florida State Seminoles.

3. Recruiting

Lane Kiffin is almost the biggest ‘available’ coaching name in the nation. He has recruited from all of the best parts of the country. From the west coast of California, all the way to the tip of Florida.

He is everywhere. He can talk to the parents in their homes and then can turn around talk to their kids on Twitter. Lane has been in the college football spotlight for almost 20 years. He has been a part of many big programs.

He knows what it takes to recruit the best players in the nation. In his first year at FAU, Kiffin started a connection with East Mississippi Community College, one of the best junior colleges in nation. He might be crazy to some but he gets some of the top talents to his program.
