A deal seems to be done to bring Jimbo Fisher in as the next head coach of Texas A&M football and here are some Aggie player reactions to the news.

The waiting game seemed to last forever. A deal for Jimbo Fisher seemed to be inevitable and Texas A&M got it done on Friday afternoon as Florida Stateโ€™s head coach resigned and is expected to be announced as the Aggiesโ€™ new coach on Monday.

Speculation can now subside as the news is about as official as it gets. We were busy watching flight patterns of private jets leaving Tallahassee for College Station and now we have an answer. After firing Kevin Sumlin last week, Texas A&M can now rest easy knowing it finally has its coach.

The players involved with both teams had things to say about the situation and you can bet both sides were surprised a bit.

Some Texas A&M players offered their thoughts via social media. A majority of them were short and to the point and all had the same type of theme.

All of the reactions were similar. The players seem to be excited to bring in Fisher and Nick Starkel even used a โ€œfish on hookโ€ emoji to describe the fact that Texas A&M reeled in a big fish. Could this be the coach who finally turns the program around?

Itโ€™s going to be interesting to see just how well Fisher handles the new situation in College Station and if he can turn the Aggies into perennial contenders.
