The ACC sends 10 of its 14 member schools to bowl games this year, including Florida State football under interim head coach Odell Haggins.

Florida State football sneaked into the postseason with a six win season that did not go the way any Seminoles fan had planned. Head coach Jimbo Fisher bolted for College Station and the Texas A&M Aggies opening. And, star sophomore quarterback Deondre Francois did not even make it all the way through the first game of the season.

True freshman quarterback James Blackman was resilient through his first season starting. He was thrown into the fire and displayed significant progression all the way until the wins over UL Monroe and the Florida Gators to round out the regular season. He’ll be counted on again to lead the Noles to the seventh win of the year.

Reaching the seven win mark would actually be a success for the Noles, all things considered. This could have easily become a lost season in Tallahassee. Finishing the year with a win over in-state rival Florida and winning the bowl game is not the worst thing in the mind of an FSU fan.

After starting the year with a 2-5 record, the Noles won four of the final five contests. FSU actually enters bowl season as one of the hotter teams out of the ACC. Running backs Jacques Patrick and Cam Akers are hot, with more than 300 rushing yards combined in the 42-10 win over UL Monroe.

The College Football Playoff field will be set after Selection Sunday (for football, not basketball), on Dec. 2. FSU was a preseason favorite to be there in the four selected for the Playoff.

Here are the three bowl game possibilities for the Florida State Seminoles.
