2. Texas Bowl (SEC vs. Big 12)

The prospect of having to face the Texas Longhorns in the first Lone Star Showdown since the last season the Aggies spent in the Big 12 in 2011, would not be favorable for Texas A&M. Ending the year with a loss to the Horns is the worst thing imaginable for Texas A&M fans.

However, there’s a few possibilities for opponents for the Aggies, outside of the Horns, if they land in the Texas Bowl. The Big 12 has a four-way tie for fourth place in the conference standings. Those teams include the Longhorns, Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas State Wildcats, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

Moreover, a rematch with Kansas State in a bowl game would not be the best thing for the Aggies either. Yet, getting a win over a head coach in Matt Campbell, with Iowa State, that passed on the Aggies would be bitter-sweet.

The view in which this bowl game is held would depend entirely on who Texas A&M faces. If the Aggies got either the Horns or Wildcats, it would likely be a negative outcome. Getting West Virginia or Iowa State would be the best way for this scenario to take place.
