2. Cactus Bowl (Big 12 vs. PAC-12)

The Cactus Bowl takes the Big 12 to PAC-12 country, and West Virginia is accustomed to that. The Mountaineers faced the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Cactus Bowl following the 2015 campaign, with a very exciting finish.

In that contest with Arizona State, former Mountaineers quarterback Skyler Howard led his team to a 43-42 win. That was also a coming out party for wide receiver Gary Jennings, who is still a key part of the West Virginia offense.

Another meeting with the Sun Devils is possible in this game. Other possible opponents would include the Arizona Wildcats and Oregon Ducks. The prospect of a matchup with the Ducks, and head coach Willie Taggart, is very intriguing.

The offense, when the PAC-12 faces the Big 12, will always command the outcome. For a fan of any Big 12 team, this becomes a must-watch bowl game. West Virginia fans should root for this to be one of the outcomes for bowl selection for the Mountaineers in the postseason.
