1. He is college football’s MVP

The Heisman Trophy is the best individual award a player can win. Jackson has been college football’s most valuable player for the last two years. It’s hard to think of a player more vital to a team’s success than Jackson is to Louisville.

Without Jackson, the Cardinals would be in a much worse situation than winning eight games and facing Mississippi State in the postseason. And, without star quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, Jackson should have a great day against the Bulldogs.

Consideration needs to be given to the load that Jackson shouldered this year. He remained resilient, with a huge performance week in and week out. The pressure did not get to Jackson like it did down the stretch last year.

Louisville will not be the same next year if Jackson decides to declare early for the 2018 NFL Draft. He takes the Cardinals to a new level. His development during the 2017 campaign makes him worthy of a first round pick.
