College GameDay is in Philadelphia for the Army-Navy game. Let’s see how the service academies and their supporters did with their College GameDay signs.

There are so many great rivalries in college football: The Game, The Iron Bowl, The Red River Rivalry, Bedlam, and countless others. These games are chocked full of some of the best teams in college football. The games often are played for at minimum a conference title and often have national championship implications. Many of the players that star go on to play on Sunday. Then there is Army-Navy.

The rivalry between the two most prominent service academies (sorry, Air Force) is an iconic game and one of the most thrilling atmospheres anywhere in sports. They don’t have the same talent level or football stakes, but the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy and the bragging rights that come with it are plenty. How many rivalries have to be suspended because a general and an admiral threaten to duel?

This year’s game will be played in Lincoln Financial Stadium. Navy is in an unfamiliar position. They are looking for a bit of revenge after Army ended their 14-game winning streak. The Black Knights won 21-17 last year in M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Army is a three-point underdog to Navy (6-5) despite winning eight games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1984-85.

This is the fourth consecutive year College GameDay will be broadcasting from the Army-Navy game.

The College GameDay crowd is filled with future officers who will protect us around the globe. Today, they get to be normal college students. They get to tailgate a huge game and bring their best College Gameday signs.
