4. Nick Starkel makes an All-SEC team

The SEC should bring back a strong class of quarterbacks in 2018. Losing Ole Miss’s Shea Patterson does hurt, but there’s still a lot of talent left in the conference at that position. A few of those quarterbacks should be in the Heisman running as well.

Former Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham should stay at Auburn. A few others include Alabama’s Jalen Hurts, Mississippi State’s Nick Fitzgerald, Georgia’s Jake Fromm, and South Carolina’s Jake Bentley.

Former three-star commit and Aggies starting quarterback Nick Starkel should take a step forward during his sophomore campaign. Kellen Mond had his chance and did not do much with it, especially during the latter stages of the regular season.

Starkel has a reliable arm and enough mobility to escape the pocket and find one of the many weapons he’ll have surrounding him in 2018. Four-star recruit in the 2018 class, Jalen Preston, could be a name to watch that will be added to Texas A&M’s receiving corps. Starkel has the tools necessary to move forward in his development and become an All-SEC level quarterback.
