Head coach Matt Luke and Ole Miss football were able to flip multiple recruits in the 2018 class on Early Signing Day. Who will make a difference in 2018?

It was a huge day for Ole Miss football on the recruiting trail. Flipping four-star wide receiver, originally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, Elijah Moore put the Rebels among the top 35 classes in the nation. Ole Miss also added a big commit to the defensive line in three-star defensive tackle Jalen Cunningham.

The Rebels signed 14 recruits on the first day of the early signing period, that took place on Dec. 20, and finished the day as the 12th best class in the SEC. Considering the uphill battle that head coach Matt Luke and the Ole Miss football program is facing right now, the momentum gained from one day of recruiting will really help this team.

This class of early signees consisted of two four-star commits and 12 three-stars. Moreover, there’s two three-star hard commits that did not sign with the Rebels on Dec. 20. Those two recruits are defensive end Deuntra Hyman and cornerback JaKorey Hawkins.

A few names to watch for Ole Miss fans that have yet to commit somewhere includes four-star outside linebacker Christopher Oats and four-star athlete Marquez Ezzard. There’s still time for Ole Miss to add to this class before National Signing Day comes around in February 2018.

Ole Miss’s top recruit that signed during the early signing period is four-star pro-style quarterback Matt Corral. He is the No. 3 ranked pro-style quarterback in the nation and the eighth best recruit in Mississippi. Corral can come in and be the quarterback of the future for Luke.

Here’s three early signees that could make an instant impact for the Ole Miss Rebels in 2018.
