4. Dynamic wide receiver play will be key to a victory.

Texas Tech has quite the wide out duo in Keke Coutee and Dylan Cantrell. These two will be instrumental in the Birmingham Bowl against Southern Florida who has quite the offense of their own. They have combined for over 2,000 yards this season and will need to keep that going on Saturday morning if they want a chance at victory.

While their defense will have the hands full with Flowers and company, it is the job of the offense to- quite basically- out offense the Bulls. The key will be spreading the ball out, covering not only these two but all of the receivers on the field.

South Florida’s pass defense is less than stellar and as a result, the pass-happy Texas Tech offense should be right at home against the Bulls. While South Florida isn’t 9-2 on accident, they are ranked 68th in pass defense which isn’t exactly something to be proud of heading into a bowl game against a team so strong in passing offense. Look for both Coutee and Cantrell to make big plays and at least one of them to grab the game winner.
