Wadley also was productive in the kick return game as he returned five kickoffs for a total of 171 yards, including an electrifying 72 yard return.

Iowa finishes the season with an 8-5 record that was anything but normally achieved. The win is surely to give Iowa a confidence boost as they now prepare for the 2018 season, which is sure to be an exciting one in Iowa City. Here’s what we learned from the Hawkeyes win today.

3. Nate Stanley can deliver when needed

For most of the afternoon, Iowa’s pass offense was rather stagnant as quarterback Nate Stanley was seemingly running for his life and was sacked three times along with numerous hurries from the Boston College front. But when needed, Stanley delivered with flying colors.

Stanley hooked up with Nick Easley on this dime of a throw for a 32 yard gain and sparked the Iowa offense from their on out.

Stanley only finished 9-of-15 passing for 99 yards and a touchdown. When able to get passes off, he was very efficient, even bating a couple Boston College defenders to penalties throughout the game. He will be an integral part of Iowa’s success over the next two seasons.
