If you haven’t heard by now, Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher left the Seminoles to coach at Texas A&M. While his choice rocked the college football world, he will not coach the Aggies as they head into the Belk Bowl against Wake Forest. Instead, Jeff Banks has been promoted to the interim head coach position. He will take the sideline and lead the team into this match up on the Dec. 29.
Banks has been the special teams coordinator for the Aggies since 2013. He is also one of the team’s best recruiters and seems likely to stay on staff under incoming Jimbo Fisher. However, the focus right now is to win the Belk Bowl.
