2. Riley Ferguson will take chances

Senior quarterback Riley Ferguson was named to 1st team All-AAC just like his favorite target Anthony Miller. Ferguson is a gunslinger that will take chances, finishing with nine interceptions this season. He will give the Cyclones some chances, but the onus is on them to capitalize on those opportunities.

Ferguson finished the regular season 278-for-441 passing, 3,971 yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions on 63.0 completion percentage. He also had six rushing touchdowns giving him a total of 43 touchdowns on the season.

Ferguson can move around in the pocket and make some plays with his feet, but don’t be fooled, he does the majority of his damage with his arm. Iowa State must do their best job to take away his favorite target, if so they may have hope. However, at the clip Memphis scores I don’t see that happening.

This guy is the leader of a team who only scored less than 30 points once this season and that was the game they didn’t get Miller the ball so you see the formula, but I don’t see it happening.
