Florida State Football: Deion Sanders might save the Seminoles again
Rumors are starting that Deion Sanders might once again join Florida State football as a coach. How cool would that be?
As an FSU advocate, it’s nice to get some good news for once about the Seminole football team. The rumor mill is swirling concerning one of the ‘Noles most talented — and memorable — players, Deion Sanders. According to multiple sources, “Primetime” was in talks with new FSU head coach, Willie Taggart, about a position on the staff as defensive backs coach.
In a quote on 247 Sports — while decked out in FSU gear at the Independence Bowl, Sanders stated, “You never know. I’ve been known to make some big plays with these colors on. That’s all I’m gonna say.”
For those of you that are unfamiliar with his college stats, he was an All-American cornerback twice, intercepted 14 passes and returned an interception 100 freaking yards for a touchdown, breaking the previous record. He led the nation in punt returns.

He also managed to play baseball and run track, leading those teams to accolades. He then went on to an exemplary pro career in both baseball and football. His legacy is undeniable. Talk about a recruiting coup. Naysayers are complaining that Sanders has little coaching experience, but I say, huzzah! Who wouldn’t want to play under Deion Sanders, a man so brilliant at sports that they retired his number?
