While the UCF Knights will put up a fight to preserve their undefeated season, it will be Auburn football that claims victory in Atlanta.
Auburn once again solidified themselves as one of the top teams in the nation with two late wins over Georgia and Alabama, but it’ll take one more game to prove that they truly deserve the respect of a top four team. This time, they’ll face off against a UCF team looking to display their ability to compete with the best.
Seeing a non Power Five team contending for a New Year’s Six matchup is rare, especially one hailing from the American East. However, if there was any team to do it, it would be UCF. And while Auburn are heavy favorites in this one, nothing can take away the special regular season posted by the Knights.
Despite being the underdogs of this particular contest, all bets are off when it comes to defending your pride in a bowl game.
