1. The Wisconsin ground game was huge, especially Jonathan Taylor

Obviously, a lot should be said about quarterback Alex Hornibrook and the game he put together. He threw for four touchdowns and not a single interception. He didn’t let the Miami defense get to him, standing tall and fighting till the final snap. However, it is Jonathan Taylor that I am most impressed with.

Taylor is a freshman and with his 26 carries for 130 yards he became the NCAA freshman rushing leader. This kid is absolutely insane. He now holds a record earlier held by Adrian Peterson, a guy who has had a pretty successful career in the NFL and in college football.

If you are a Badger fan and you aren’t excited about the future looking at Jonathan Taylor and Alex Hornibrook, I don’t know what to tell you. Hornibrook is a sophomore. Taylor is a freshman. This is a special group of Wisconsin Badgers that could easily find themselves in the College Football Playoff next season.

Keep an eye out for the Badgers. This team, this group is full of talent and the sky is the limit for them. Congratulations to the 2017 Orange Bowl Champions.
