Georgia football will meet Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Alabama playing in the title game is nothing new. The Crimson Tide have never missed the playoff and have participated in each of the last two title games. However, this will be Georgia’s first trip to the big game and their first meeting with Alabama this season.

Georgia’s last national championship came in 1980 prior to the dawn of the BCS. They earned their trip to this season’s championship game with a pair of impressive victories.
