The College Football Playoff National Championship Game is approaching. Which players for both sides are in doubt for the final game?

The 2017 college football season is drawing to a close. Alabama has played 13 games this season. Georgia has played 14 games. The grind of the SEC schedule coupled with postseason play has both squads at less than 100 percent entering the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

There are a myriad of players that won’t be listed on the injury report still battling the scrapes and bumps that come along with a grueling season. However, from an availability perspective, the Bulldogs have much more options available to them than the Crimson Tide.

Alabama suffered another significant loss to their linebacking corps during their Sugar Bowl win over Clemson. Anfernee Jennings went down with a knee injury and has since undergone surgery. He will not be available for the game. Jennings is just one more name on the Alabama portion of the injury report that reads like an All-Star list.

There’s no doubt that Georgia is significantly more healthy than Alabama. However, the Crimson Tide have been playing shorthanded, especially at the linebacker position, for several weeks. They have plenty of depth and should be ready to go come Monday night.

Injuries aside, this is shaping up to be a heavyweight fight. The All-SEC title game will be true to the style of the conference – tough, physical, and won in the trenches. As long as Nick Saban and Kirby Smart are healthy enough to stand on their respective sidelines, these teams are going to be ready to give it their all.
