One of the more disappointing teams to ever take the field in any of the four Playoffs, the 2014 Florida State Seminoles were run out of the building in the Semifinals. Sophomore quarterback Jameis Winston did not go out in style with the Noles in his final game with the program.

Winston was a winner with FSU, as this was the worst result he saw in his two-year starting career in Tallahassee. However, FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher likely wishes he could have this game back.

Following a National Championship win over the Auburn Tigers in 2013, this 2014 FSU squad had some high expectations, but were also replacing a lot of lost talent. There was also a ton of games played from behind during the 2014 regular season for the Noles.

The lack of weapons that Winston had around him played a large role in the drop in production in 2014. FSU’s defense had a lot of talent, between players like Jalen Ramsey, Eddie Goldman, and Mario Edwards. But, it was not enough to contend with the best teams in the nation for another National Championship.
