QB. player. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. Baker Mayfield. 6. 30. Scouting Report

While the draft isn’t in New York anymore, this would be a great time for it to return there, with the Jets holding a high pick.

Baker Mayfield would definitely provide an interesting reaction.

On one hand, drafting the third quarterback in the first six picks could make the Jets look like they are reaching. Many view Mayfield as a late-first, second round selection, but seeing Darnold and Rosen come off the board, New York might freak.

There is definitely no denying his skills, but the reigning Heisman winner is just 6-1 and played in a spread-offense each of his four college seasons between Texas Tech and Oklahoma.

If the Jets do grab Mayfield, a re-tooling of the offense might be in order. The gunslinger finished his career with 14,607 yards and 131 touchdowns, throwing just 30 interceptions among his 1,497 attempts.
